The transfer season is upon us! While so many people complain about how ridiculous it is I'm going to buck the trend and admit I love it. The drama, the ridiculous sums of money...I'm really just caught up in the romance of it. Which is why I'm furious that there's been so few rumour's surrounding Everton! Could the respective newspapers finally have realized that we have no money? It couldn't be true, could it? Half the fun is in the fact that we know it wouldn't happen, hearing foreign names that could possibly fit on the back of a shirt. It's my favourite time of year. Anyway, I thought I'd give a round up as to what I've heard.

According to various sources Everton are interested in David Wheater of Middlesbrough, who I watched play against Leeds a week or so ago, he seems strong and to read the play well, but do we really need another central defender? Especially with Yobo out on loan to Fenerbache, where according to my main source of information (Wikipedia) he's played thirteen times. If we're going to buy someone new I'd like to see us sell Yobo first, but above all I'd like to see Shane Duffy get a chance, he's gotten good reviews in the reserves and the only way we'll ever know is if he's given a chance, or atleast sent out on loan.

David Moyes has not taken Everton as far as he can!
I wonder what kind of supporter who actually knows anything about Everton would claim that Moyes has taken Everton as far as he can, the past three results are down to the injury crisis. We've been stripped of almost all our best players and as a result we're finding games hard to win, the players we've relied on in the past to unlock defences or shore up our own defence are injured, and I have to agree totally with Mark Lawrenson's point in his article in the Liverpool Daily, when he pointed out that if Liverpool or Manchester United had eleven first team players injured they'd struggle too. For Everton Fans its going to be a simple case of being staunch and weathering the storm, while hoping the coming months don't damage our season to much.

On a happier note Everton's squad (when fit) actually looks very promising now. We have internationals across the field, and most of our top players are still in their 20's (excluding Louis Saha). This is promising for the future and I think with the squad we've got now, and maybe a few more recruits in the coming transfer window, we can break into the top four in one of the next few seasons. Also if we manage to get through the group stage and get some players back I really believe we have the squad to win the Europa League.

I believe in a fair go to everyone and to that extent I hope to see more of Seamus Coleman in the coming games, as in the last ten minutes that he played against Bolton he did look quite good. I think his debut at left back against Benfica should be ignored, as he was playing against a team in form with fantastic wingers on the wrong side for him. He looks like a very good buy by Moyes and one for the future. Another player I would like to see more of is James Wallace as he needs more experience.

I'd also like to reiterate what fellow blogger Mike Reynolds said earlier in the month "Remember Remember the injured are back in November!" So lets hope for some fireworks against Liverpool!

Everton Brothers and Sisters! Hear the Gospel of the Moyesiah and Believe! Our Season is not over!

To start this I have to explain a story. I live in Sydney, Australia. I have no real connection to Everton or the city they are based in.

My Dad's a Leeds supporter and my Mum grew up in Manchester, yet I'm an Evertonian at heart, I get asked all the time why I support Everton so I suppose I'd like to explain it.

Before anyone tells me I'm not a real Everton fan I'd like to remind you all that the Premier League is a global game, over in England you get to watch the games in the middle of the day, around 3pm and such.

Everton's new signings in the last few days have provided a light at the end of the tunnel in this long transfer window.

Evertonians have been worried whether we will bring in any reinforcements whatsoever but the signing of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov is exciting and one only has to plug his name into you tube to envision him adding a lot to Everton's team, a certain creativity which we have been missing.
