With all the frustrations we are seeing daily over this summer, I admit even someone as optimistic and stoic as I, it seems the supporters at Everton are intending a distinctly Evertonian show of support to the team and manager at Everton this coming weekend. EFC face their first opponents in the Premier League; Blackburn Rovers FC, without having signed anyone this summer and with a number of players taken out with injury.
Along with other frustrations, the supporters want to show the Everton board how they feel, but without unsettling the team in a way our Red neighbours would, or that you'd typically see at Newcastle. With a squad depleted, and our great manager under pressure as a result (not of his own making) fans site www.nsno.co.uk along with members of www.bluekipper.net (the forums of Bluekipper.com), www.grandoldteam.com, The People's Club (Facebook) are putting a call out for supporters.

It was announced today on www.evertonfc.com that the club's season ticket renewal process looks to be heading for record numbers of renewals, and similar indications were being seen on the new and more formal "waiting list" system for new holders recently introduced by the club.
It should be interesting for all Evertonians learn of firm figures on numbers even approximate when they come out and to correlate them with any increases in attendances throughout the new season 2008/2009.
Many readers may ask well why is this important? Resources, both direct to the club and for those commercial entities wanting to be associated with the club. Numbers means success, and success means prestige. Breeding further success...
