Transfer Window Talks
As there hasnt been any action for us to talk about over the past week, we decided to record our thoughts on our new signings, and how they might fit into the team. Then we get on to talking about starting 11.
Have a look and dont be afraid to post your thoughts on starting players in the comments.

Another well done video blog, though it cut off right at the end.
All three of the new transfers right into the starting 11, kind of surprising to me. I haven't seen them play yet, so maybe they are better than who we already had.
Who do you think Moyes was talking about when he said that he wouldn't be afraid to cut some of the senior members of the squad from the starting 11? Is that the same problem you're seeing with Yobo?
Hi Colin,
thanks for the comment. Its an interesting point you make actually, do all 3 players come straight in to the team.
Well, I think they may be introduced over the next month, but ultimately, I expect them all to play.
As you probably have seen in my earlier videos, I really think our weak points have been down the right hand side, so I cant see Moyes sticking with Hibbert & Osman. Although to be fair to Hibbert, he will never pull out of a tackle and can be solid defensively. But... he has been exposed when up against a pacey winger (thinking Villa-Ashley Young, Boro-Downing(?) and Chelsea-FA Cup Final-Malouda/Kalou et.al).
So, Distin is vital. He was a natural Lescott-replacement at the game last week. Plus, we simply cant play Neville there as we looked very ropey.
Osman, for me at least, is not good enough if we are seriously looking to break into the top 4, or even, maintain 5th place (especially when we consider improvements Spurs have made). So I think Pienaar will pick up his old relationship with Heitinga on the right...eventually.
Perhaps Bilyaletdinov will be the one fed into the team more slowly, but will end up on the left regularly.
In speaking about dropping senior players, I think he would directly be referring to the Yobo (when jagielka gets fit) and Cahill/Fellaini (as both dont fit into the team) and one of the 3 senior strikers (Yakubu, Sha, Jo).
But im just a regular fan. What do you think???
I like what I've seen of Distin. It was a rather unfortunate deflection against Fullham Sunday, but I'll think he provides a good physical presence in that defensive back line.
With Neville out for a while, and Arteta's return being pushed out a little further, the options are little more limited that any of us would like right now. Let's hope for a swift and safe return of Jagielka to help improve the weaknesses in defense. I think he and Distin will anchor the defensive center together eventually.
I also think the team would do well to run more of a 4-4-2 with Anichebe returning soon. A combo of Yak, Jo, Saha, or Anichebe seems pretty good to me.
I know Charlie likes games, and I just got the new Championship Manager 2010. The autopick option for the line up had all three new additions in the starting eleven, so maybe there is something to it. Tell Charlie that Bily will be better in real life than in the Football Manager game. Please also tell Charlie to give the Fellaini hair piece another try for some good luck.
Keep up the good work. I've been enjoying your vlog entries from over here in the states. I'm relatively new to the EPL and started following Everton after seeing them play here in the states this past summer against the MLS All Stars.
