MBia 'Snub' is a Lucky Escape
Last summer the papers were filled with our supposed transfer targets. So many, in fact, that a whole starting XI of missed opportunities was put together by fansite Bluekipper. Despite the disappointment of supposedly 'missing out' on numerous players, however, it's nice to see today we had at least one lucky escape in the summer.
Rennes midfielder Stephane Mbia was a name that cropped up a number of times in the press as he was desperate to play for Everton...or was that Arsenal? Or Manchester United? No, sorry he'd love to play for Chelsea. No, Everton.
Anyway apart from winning the award for Quote of the Year with his indecisive ramble over exactly which club he would 'love' to play for* , he was generally touted as being the answer to our midfield problem and one of the club's main targets. However if his summer spoutings weren't enough to convince fans that Mbia wasn't a Moyes player today's latest outburst on the Sky Sports website will leave you in no doubt.
Cheers Steph! But thankfully for us our strength this season has been the fantastic team spirit we've displayed while everything else seemed to be going against us. MBia doesn't really seem to be the sort of player to fit in with the club's ethics of working hard and playing for each other and that's the sort of player I'm more than happy to see 'snub' the club.
*If you missed Mbia's ramblings in the summer, here it is in full:
"I want Everton - it's my dream. Everton want me, and Arsenal do too, so I'm waiting. I want to play for Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. Chelsea is my favourite . If Manchester, Everton or Arsenal come for me, I will go. It's all very, very good. Manchester is my dream: I'd join them. And I like Everton. So I'm waiting."

Good article. He, quite clearly, is not the kind of player any right minded Evertonian would want playing for us.
I'm certain that I speak for most if not all Evertonians whne I say that Hmmmbia can go elsewhere, we only want players who want to pull on the royal blue shirt as much as we want to wear is ourselves.
