LOT TO LIVE UP TO
EVERTON today return to the scene of one of their most memorable weeks of last season - when they won at Upton Park twice in four days to secure a place in the Carling Cup semi-finals and three Premier League points.
But it wasn't that particular week in December that shaped the season, it was the two-month unbeaten run that it helped along that had far more significance.
The signs that David Moyes will be granted his wish to repeat that feat are so far so good.
Everton lost to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby on October 18 2007 - the same corresponding weekend they suffered their last defeat this time round, to Arsenal at the Emirates.
And it wasn't until the last weekend before Christmas last year that they lost again - to Manchester United on December 23.
It's December 22 this year that Chelsea are the visitors to Goodison and if Moyes's men can remain unbeaten up to that point they will once again have a platform for an assault on the European places.
Another victory at Upton Park will only heighten the belief that they can do it.

The shirt is a limited edition release and is set to raise in excess of ã75,000 for charity.
The Everton Megastore at Goodison will open its doors at 8am for new purchases and in-store pre-orders to be collected.
Limited numbers will be available and a limit to two shirts per customer. Shirts are priced at ã44.99 for adults and ã34.99 for juniors.
