Exclusive: Club 'committed to Kirkby move'

David Bartlett, reporting from Everton's extraordinary general meeting this evening, tells us that the club has confirmed its commitment to the move to Kirkby.
It had been thought that the club could abandon its plan for a new stadium there after the Government called the plans in, potentially delaying the move for several months at least.

the club is a joke. the chairman is absolutely hated. he needs to take the hint. every fans forum an 80% of the ground are against him and have lost total faith in him. we dont wanna go to kirkby. dont ruin us kenwrong

Hopefully if the government dont say no then we will get some decent investment. How LFC can build a stadium on a park bequethed to the people of liverpool without that being called in is beyond me.
