Historical Crossroads
So we finally know.
Today's announcement has hit all fans hard in different ways, some are smiling and some are saddened. However, it seems the majority are in a state of worry and in need of reassurances that the news doesn't lead to the death of the club - the recent and obvious revelations that a new stadium would entice new money from investors is now a subject we need not discuss any further.
The Kirkby project never sat right with alot of people but they put their preference for an alternative site to one side when dreaming of a billionaire rolling into a shiny new stadium in their shiny Maybach. With this dream now gone what is in store for our club?
Evertonians, whilst realistic, have an ingrained sense that one day we will be back amongst the champions league stars. Without a new stadium it is feared our potential will never be realised. I know I speak for my Evertonian peers when saying I don't go to the match because I enjoy the pies and a bit of banter, I go because I expect to win and crave the successes that our support, and foundations Moyes has built, deserve.
Our club (or more specifically the board) now have some choices to make. Do they sell to the highest bidder, irrespective of who they are, in the hope that the suitor has the club's interest at heart or do they hold out and go again on the long hunt for a new stadium, hoping to make a profit on their initial investments when selling a club / stadium bundle?
Some optimists may suggest that the club can now be bought for a song from desperate shareholders. It has huge potential to grow if a ground can be financed (albeit saddled with debts) - a bargain if ever I've seen one Mr Mittal / Mr Green / Mr McCartney / Mr (or Mrs) Anyone Rich.
Now a final wish and one which I fear will fall on deaf ears.
This is the time for Mr Bradley to stand up and shout from the roof of the Main Stand what he has to offer Everton FC. The fans and the directors are now all ears Warren, we want some action after all your hot air - please give us something tangible to examine and discuss. You have got what you desired, now show us your hand and make it a winning one.

Filled with a sense of foreboding and dread. Damn!
R.I.P Everton fc the liverpool council killed you off and now its league one here we come i hope bradley is satisfied for a so called fan and the reverand at st chads can go on making lots of money from his over priced saturday weddings .
Given the high oil/commodity prices. Given the tiger economies in Asia and the ME.
The prevailence of Billionare tycoons and National-Strategic-Investment-Groups (like DIC - as an illustration of Dubai's national investment group), is only increasing as many seek to invest their reserves in Western institutions (like Everton), over the very long term. Particuarly in volatile currency/stock and commodity markets.
There are only a certain number of Premier League clubs with a fan base as large as Everton's!
The reason being, these natural resource rich states have all this money (cash) ready to invest (from their foreign exchange reserves), if they invested it in their own countries the inflation rates would sky rocket..... and destabilise their countries.
So they're looking for investments abroad. What better than a true instituition like Everton FC ? est 1878
It doesn't necessarily have to be a billionare. It could be a added to the portfolio of a country (as an asset to grow).
Its a fact in the global economy this will happen.
Maybe a rich Australian or other nationality may see the potential to come for Everton?
Who knows?
One thing I do know.
Mr Bradley and LCC, for all their shinanigans, DO NEED TO STEP UP, and do need to do better by Everton FC.
The original club of Liverpool and the Northwest and North Wales.
Otherwise Mr Bradley is likely to see the backlash from Evertonians, for putting Everton into a corner whilst allowing our neighbours to build on Stanley Park (parkland held IN TRUST! But given away - whilst Everton get nothing).
Mr Bradley - that is not good enough. Its time the council were even handed.
AND WE DON'T WANT TO SHARE WITH THAT LOT.
WE DESERVE OUR OWN STADIUM - AS ITS ALWAYS BEEN!
for all those people who were against this move will realise in time it was our only chance and that they have irrevocable damaged this club in more ways than one KEIOC says its battle won but i fear everton might of lost the whole war as well
