Hasta La Vista, Wyness

SO Mr Wyness has left the Blues to don Speedos and suntan lotion, seemingly Majorca bound for football in the sun.
Paul Davidson, the new English owner of La Liga side Real Mallorca, is believed to be offering Wyness a position at the club.
The temptation of free-flowing sangria and senoritas at the height of the holiday season is enough to prise any man away from a Liverpool which is doing its best depress everyone by veering wildly from baking desert to stormy tropic.
As the Daily Post reports, Wyness' resignation was not expected by the board and his timing must be questioned when Everton's abilities to compete in the transfer market and the proposed stadium move to Kirby are two issues still at large.
As Wyness relaxes on the beach, takes a white-knuckle ride on a banana boat or raves at an all night Magaluf foam party, Everton may still be worrying about a public enquiry into their stadium move- a scheme largely architected by Wyness himself.
Evertonians have been wishing for something to break up a tepid pre-season, although they would prefer to read headlines about signing new players and not having to worry about filling a Wyness-sized hole in the boardroom.
Although Wyness has overseen a period of stability and high-achievement, his keenness for Everton to build their new stadium outside the city boundary in Kirkby grated with some fans who will certainly not be sad to see him leave. Without Wyness' substantial influence, it will be interesting to see how the dynamics of the Blues' hunt for new players and a new home change.
Speculation on a replacement Chief Executive has not begun in earnest, but let's begin by taking the approach David Moyes has been forced to adopt this summer by asking some 'Young Blood' to step up to the plate. How about the hot-shot catering manager in the Park End who improved hot dog sales by nine-per-cent last season? He's only twenty-one, but he has the efficiency and ability to make ends meet which we so admire at Everton.
Just one thing, Keith. If you do move to the Balearics, spare a thought for us Evertonians and send us some sunshine in the post. A lewd postcard, an over-sized novelty pencil, a tea-towel and a pair of counterfeit jeans will do nicely.

It'll be interseting to see what happens about the move to Kirkby now Wyness has left.
Can't say we're surprised.
The poor service/coverage/merchandising from the JJB Sports "Kit Partnership" deal alone probably made this inevitable.
Walking into any JJB Sports store (If any Evertonian needs to see for themselves - actually go into you're nearest store and see for yourself!)
- the Top "monopoly" teams seem to get massive centre coverage with large stands in store and Everton's merchandise actually has to be hunted down within the stores, with no "in-your-face" pride of place in store. And this is for a team with a huge fanbase!
To quote a friend: "Its like we don't exist, it's disgraceful"
With the lack of our own club shop facilities this makes this - Unacceptable.
His position was thus weak even without taking into account the K-word (Kirkby).
*Note: I'm not in any lobby group here
Mere reflection on the merchandising: Everton need a "doer" not a "yes man".
Someone to come in and get us to be an envy in terms of merchandising prowess, media coverage and makes the club look like it is. A true great.
I certainly think Moyes should have a say on any operator who comes in.
