Why Evertonians should be proud about the way the club is run

By Howard Kendall on May 9, 08 07:09 PM in Columnists

OWNERSHIP of football clubs continues to be the hottest of topics and it is a joy to see that Everton are not in a mess like some rivals.

Manchester City, for example, have become a laughing stock again with the treatment of Sven Goran Eriksson but did he spend Thaksin Shinawatra's money well? Not from where I'm sitting..

If the wrong man is at the helm, you can spend a £100m and nothing will change. Personally, I'd rather have Everton's foundations and values rather than someone being in it for a quick buck, who will cause chaos on the way

Off the field, Everton Football Club is absolute shambles.

We lost £10m last year and £10m the year before. We are in loads debt.

Without David Moyes this club would be in a terrible state.

I just wish we had a Chairman and Board that would help David Moyes rather than hinder him with a meagre transfer budget.

Everton Football Club needs investment, more importantly we need a Board that can provide the funds and squad to help David Moyes get us into regularly into the champions league.

Our squad is thin and full of loanees, we need more strength in depth to move on
